Small Affordable Apartments in the Core Zone

The offset shape and small-scale structure align with the surrounding buildings in terms of orientation and appearance, gently integrating into the town center. The building is accessed via a small ramp, which accentuates the entrance and alsodivides the southern front yard into two parts. The building’s offset footprint creates public as well as semi-private outdoor spaces.

Fourteen mostly small apartments are distributed across three full floors and an attic, accessed via a central stairwelllocated at the intersection of the two building parts. All apartments feature at least one south-facing room and a balcony. Metal sliding shutters, flush with the exterior wall, are the main elements of the façades; they slide freely within their frames, and some border the corners of the building.

Since the project is located in the core zone, it was assessed by an expert and had to meet increased design standards.
